With John's solo album's he mellowed out quite a bit but the song THIS IS WHAT LOVE IS he has said he wrote it in answer to the Foreigner song I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE to give the Christian answer to that question. John was the 2nd lead singer for Kansas in the early 80's and sang on a few albums
